When you transact business with Cedar Trading Ltd our goal is to ensure that your information will be transmitted across the web with the highest degree of security possible. We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology which encrypts sensitive information such as your name, address, credit card details etc.You can check this is working by looking for the small yellow padlock symbol in the bottom right of your screen and also that the web page address starts "https" instead of just "http".

SSL uses RSA's public-and-private key encryption system, and a digital certificate, to optimise the security of message transmissions over a network. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) are now considering adopting SSL as the standard protocol for Web browsers and servers.

SSL works on the principle that the programming for keeping messages confidential should be contained in a program 'layer' between an application (e.g: a web browser) and the Internet's TCP/IP layers. (The 'sockets' part of the term refers to the way data is passed back and forth between a client and a server program.)

Please note: Some corporate firewalls do not support secure-SSL transmissions.
